Two Hare Trading

Two Hare Trading Company was founded in 2013 by Jennifer Dunn, originally launching with her bath and body line, Away From Salem – From Cauldron to Counter. Jenn, who grew up in the Chicago area, and her husband JC, from Tampa Bay, raised five children while Jenn cultivated her talents at home, creating products ranging from bath and body items to jewelry, fiber arts, spices, salts, and fudge.

The family moved across the country multiple times due to JC’s engineering and railroad management work, until a series of life events—including JC’s fifth heart attack and subsequent return to university through the VA—prompted Jenn to focus on her business full-time. In 2016, they discovered Walsenburg, Colorado, while their fourth child attended culinary school in Denver, and fell in love with the town.

After navigating challenges including the pandemic and JC’s emergency open-heart surgery, the family made the life-changing decision to relocate to Walsenburg in December 2020. They sold and donated much of their belongings and embraced the move with faith and optimism. Surrounded by snowy landscapes, deer, and distant mountains, Jenn and JC knew they had found their forever home.

Two Hare Trading Company continues to create and offer a wide variety of handmade products, reflecting the family’s creativity, resilience, and dedication to quality.
