Botanical Creations

Botanical Creations began in the mid-1980s with a simple yet powerful idea: to create aromatic products inspired by the herbs, flowers, and resins of the Southwest. The company’s journey started with sage smudge products made from Artemisia tridentata (Desert Sage), which grows abundantly across southern Colorado and northern New Mexico. From there, the team expanded their offerings by carefully and ecologically harvesting piñon, juniper, and fir needles and resins from nearby forests to craft sweet, fragrant, and natural incense.

As Botanical Creations grew, so did their expertise in aromatherapy. They developed a deep knowledge of beneficial properties, blending techniques, and the importance of high-quality ingredients for producing clean-burning, all-natural incense. By the mid-1990s, the company began sourcing imported essential oils from around the world, as well as charcoal sticks from India, allowing them to expand their line to 30 unique incense varieties. Many of these recipes are proprietary and remain exclusive to Botanical Creations.

Today, the company continues to roll, dip, and package each product by hand in southern Colorado, staying true to their roots in artisanal craftsmanship. In 2023 and beyond, Botanical Creations remains committed to ecological harvesting, earth-friendly and recycled packaging, and clean-burning products that reflect both care for the environment and passion for quality. The business not only shares beautifully handcrafted incense with people around the world but also supports their local community by creating meaningful jobs in southern Colorado.
