3rd Times A Charm

Since 2008, Third Time’s a Charm (3TC) has been the creative outlet of a lifelong artist whose work draws inspiration from a rich tapestry of life experiences. The artist began her journey in college, majoring in art, and later served three years in the Army during the Vietnam era before returning to complete her degree. Her early focus was on art in nature, particularly transforming found objects into jewelry, wind chimes, and wearable art.

Although life and personal circumstances redirected her path, she eventually settled in Colorado 39 years ago, where she ran a feed and pet supply business in Nederland for nearly two decades. After retiring to Huerfano County eight years ago, she returned fully to her passion: creating utilitarian art that blends functionality with artistic expression.

Her eye for unique materials ensures that nearly every project incorporates a found object or piece of “junk,” turning it into something entirely new and meaningful. Her displays also feature works from other artists collected over 20 years of bartering, often trading art for pet food, giving the space a vibrant and collaborative feel.
